Rita Lorraine Hubbard

Rita Lorraine is a former educator of 20 years and now a full-time historical writer and researcher. She has performed research for NBC Studios and their show “Who Do You Think You Are,” which resulted in the Lionel Richie episode. She is also the lead researcher for Civil Productions LLC, which has produced the documentary: The Civil Case.

Rita Lorraine’s awards include the 2022 Texas Bluebonnet Award, the 2022 Comstock Readaloud Award, the 2022 East Tennessee Community History Award, the 2022 Rhode Island Children’s Book Award, the 2022 Anne Izard Award, the 2021 SCBWI Crystal Kite Award, and the 2021 Floyd Pick Award.
